Watch The Boys, Rings of Power, and Amazon's international originals with two subtitle tracks. One of the only extensions supporting Prime Video dual subtitles in 2026.
Prime Video's unique edge: Amazon produces original content in German (Dark), Hindi (Mirzapur), Spanish (El Cid), Japanese, and more. These productions have native-speaker subtitle quality — not dubbing-quality translations — making them superior for language acquisition compared to dubbed content.
Prime Video uses a different player architecture than Netflix, which makes it harder to intercept subtitle streams. Most tools gave up and only support Netflix. EasyDualSub built specific Prime Video support from the ground up.
Full Prime Video support built from the ground up. Works on primevideo.com across all regions.
Netflix and YouTube only. No Prime Video support as of 2026.
Mostly Netflix-only. Some have partial Prime support that breaks with player updates.
Amazon's international originals are exceptional — they were made for native audiences, not dubbed over.
British English
Sharp, witty dialogue. Excellent for learning natural British idioms, dark humor, and rapid conversational register shifts.
German — native production
Produced for German audiences, not dubbed. Dense, literary dialogue. One of the best German-language shows ever made — ideal for C1 learners.
Hindi — native production
Hindi crime drama. Fast-paced dialogue with regional dialect exposure. Great for Hindi learners who want authentic spoken language, not Bollywood-formal Hindi.
English — various accents
Clear American English, action-driven plot, moderate vocabulary. Good first choice for beginners who need relatively straightforward dialogue.
Spanish — Castilian
Medieval Spanish historical drama. Formal register, clear enunciation. Excellent for Spanish learners who want to be exposed to formal Castilian beyond casual speech.
English — American
Simple, direct dialogue. Military/action vocabulary. Low cognitive load means your brain can focus on absorbing language patterns rather than plot.
Amazon's international originals are native productions — not dubbed content.
Amazon Studios produces originals in Spanish (El Cid), German, Hindi (Mirzapur), and more. These are not dubbed — they are productions written, filmed, and acted in the target language for native audiences.
Prime Video's catalog spans Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, India, and across Europe. For learners who want exposure to regional accents — not just textbook language — the variety is exceptional.
Language Reactor does not support Prime Video. Most dual subtitle tools focus on Netflix only. EasyDualSub covers Prime Video natively — one of the only tools that brings dual subtitles to Amazon's entire catalog.
Prime Video updates its player frequently. Here's what to do if something's off.
Subtitles not appearing
Ensure you're on primevideo.com in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge — not the Prime Video app. Open a title, start playback, then click the EasyDualSub icon. If the icon is grayed out, try refreshing the page while the video is playing.
Only one language available
Some Prime Video titles have limited subtitle availability in certain regions. Try switching to a different title or check if the content is a regional exclusive. US Prime Video catalog has the broadest language coverage.
Subtitles out of sync
Prime Video occasionally shifts subtitle timing on certain titles. Use EasyDualSub's subtitle delay adjustment (±500ms in the settings panel) to sync the tracks. This is a Prime Video CDN behavior, not an EasyDualSub bug.
Extension icon does not activate
Prime Video's player updates frequently. If EasyDualSub doesn't activate, check for an extension update at chrome://extensions. EasyDualSub releases compatibility updates within 48 hours of major Prime Video player changes.
Click "Add to Chrome." The extension requests permission to access primevideo.com — this is required to intercept subtitle track data from the Prime Video player.
Navigate to primevideo.com and start any movie or episode. The EasyDualSub toolbar icon activates when it detects the Prime Video player.
Click the EasyDualSub toolbar icon. The panel shows all subtitle languages available for that specific title. Select your target language and native reference language.
The two tracks are merged and displayed simultaneously. Adjust positioning and size from the same popup panel if needed.
