Unicode styled text uses actual characters, not formatting — it renders correctly in any plain text field.

Upside Down Text Generator

Upside down text — also called "flip text", "flipped text", "inverted text", or "text flipper" — works by mapping each Latin letter to its phonetic or rotated equivalent in Unicode's IPA Extensions block (U+0250–U+02AF), then reversing the string.

For example: "a" → "ɐ", "b" → "q", "e" → "ǝ", "h" → "ɥ", "n" → "u". Combined with string reversal, "hello" becomes ollǝɥ — which reads correctly when the screen is rotated.

Upside down text is popular for Discord status messages, Instagram bio tricks, Twitter/X posts, gaming usernames, and any context where you want a surprising or confusing visual effect.

Bold Text Generator for Instagram & Twitter

Unicode bold text uses the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF). Unlike HTML <b> or Markdown **bold**, these are actual Unicode characters — not rendering instructions — so they display in any plain text field.

Instagram and Twitter/X do not support rich text formatting in bios, posts or comments. Unicode bold (𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼), italic (𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑜), and script (ℋℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ) characters are one of the only ways to style text on these platforms.

This tool generates 10 typography variants: bold, italic, bold italic, script, monospace, double-struck, small caps, fullwidth, circled, and squared.

Example
Hello World
𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱

Strikethrough Text Generator

Unicode strikethrough text applies the Combining Long Stroke Overlay (U+0336) after each character. Unlike HTML <s> or Markdown ~~text~~, this diacritical mark works in any plain text field without special rendering support.

Widely used on Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord and Instagram for sarcasm, irony, corrections, or humorous "what you really meant" content. Also popular for to-do list posts showing completed items: B̶u̶y̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶k̶.

Example
Hello World
H̶e̶l̶l̶o̶ ̶W̶o̶r̶l̶d̶

Zalgo Text Generator — Glitch & Corrupted Text

Zalgo text (also called "glitch text", "corrupted text", "creepy text", or "demonic text") is created by randomly stacking Unicode combining diacritical marks (U+0300–U+036F) on top of each character until it overflows the normal line height, creating a distorted, glitched appearance.

Named after an internet horror character, Zalgo text is used for Halloween posts, horror-themed Discord servers, creepypasta content, and any situation requiring an unsettling or "glitched" visual effect. The "Zalgo Lite" variant adds just 1–2 marks per character for a subtler effect.

Example
Hello
H͓̽͌̍e̶͔͐ͅl̵̗͊͝l̸̛͜͠o̸͓̅̽

Morse Code Translator

Morse code is a character encoding system that represents letters and numbers as sequences of dots (·) and dashes (−), separated by spaces. Developed in the 1830s for telegraph communication, it remains one of the most recognizable encoding systems.

Each letter maps to a unique dot-dash pattern: "S" is "...", "O" is "---", making "SOS" = "... --- ...". Words are separated by " / ". This tool converts any text to Morse code instantly — perfect for puzzles, educational content, escape rooms, or creative social media posts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a fancy text generator?
A fancy text generator converts standard Latin letters into Unicode characters that visually resemble bold, italic, cursive, upside-down, or other stylized versions. Unlike HTML formatting, these are actual Unicode characters that work in any text field — social media bios, usernames, chat messages, and more. No special rendering is required.
How does Unicode fancy text work?
Unicode contains thousands of special characters beyond the basic Latin alphabet. Blocks like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (U+1D400), Enclosed Alphanumerics (U+2460), and IPA Extensions (U+0250) contain alternate letterforms that look like bold, italic, circled, or upside-down versions of standard letters. This tool maps your input to these character ranges instantly in your browser.
Does fancy text work on Instagram, Twitter, and Discord?
Yes — because fancy text uses actual Unicode characters rather than HTML or CSS formatting, it renders correctly anywhere that accepts plain text: Instagram bios and captions, Twitter/X posts and bios, Discord messages and usernames, LinkedIn posts, TikTok bios, Facebook posts, Reddit comments, Gmail, WhatsApp, and more.
What is upside down text and how does it work?
Upside down text (also called "flip text", "flipped text", or "inverted text") works by replacing each letter with its phonetic equivalent from the IPA Extensions Unicode block (U+0250–U+02AF), then reversing the entire string. The letter "a" becomes "ɐ", "b" becomes "q", "e" becomes "ǝ", "h" becomes "ɥ". The reversed result looks correct when the screen is turned upside down.
What is Zalgo text?
Zalgo text (also called "glitch text", "corrupted text", or "creepy text") is created by stacking random Unicode combining diacritical marks (U+0300–U+036F) on top of each character. The marks overflow the normal line height, creating a distorted, glitched appearance. It is named after an internet horror meme character from the early 2000s.
Is this fancy text generator free?
Yes — completely free, no account required, and no usage limits. All text transformations run locally in your browser; no data is sent to any server. The tool is provided by Subtiltee as part of the PowerInput suite of writing utilities.
Can I use fancy text in my username or display name?
Yes on most platforms: Discord, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, and many online games support Unicode characters in display names and usernames. Some platforms may restrict certain character ranges — if a field rejects the pasted text, that platform does not allow non-standard Unicode characters in that specific field.
What is the difference between Zalgo and Zalgo Lite?
Zalgo applies 3–8 random combining diacritical marks per character, creating an extreme glitched effect that strongly overflows the line height. Zalgo Lite applies only 1–2 marks per character, producing a subtler "slightly corrupted" look that is more legible and works better in constrained spaces like usernames or short bios.
