Unicode styled text uses actual characters, not formatting — it renders correctly in any plain text field.
Upside down text — also called "flip text", "flipped text", "inverted text", or "text flipper" — works by mapping each Latin letter to its phonetic or rotated equivalent in Unicode's IPA Extensions block (U+0250–U+02AF), then reversing the string.
For example: "a" → "ɐ", "b" → "q", "e" → "ǝ", "h" → "ɥ", "n" → "u". Combined with string reversal, "hello" becomes ollǝɥ — which reads correctly when the screen is rotated.
Upside down text is popular for Discord status messages, Instagram bio tricks, Twitter/X posts, gaming usernames, and any context where you want a surprising or confusing visual effect.
Unicode bold text uses the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF). Unlike HTML <b> or Markdown **bold**, these are actual Unicode characters — not rendering instructions — so they display in any plain text field.
Instagram and Twitter/X do not support rich text formatting in bios, posts or comments. Unicode bold (𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼), italic (𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑜), and script (ℋℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ) characters are one of the only ways to style text on these platforms.
This tool generates 10 typography variants: bold, italic, bold italic, script, monospace, double-struck, small caps, fullwidth, circled, and squared.
Unicode strikethrough text applies the Combining Long Stroke Overlay (U+0336) after each character. Unlike HTML <s> or Markdown ~~text~~, this diacritical mark works in any plain text field without special rendering support.
Widely used on Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord and Instagram for sarcasm, irony, corrections, or humorous "what you really meant" content. Also popular for to-do list posts showing completed items: B̶u̶y̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶k̶.
Zalgo text (also called "glitch text", "corrupted text", "creepy text", or "demonic text") is created by randomly stacking Unicode combining diacritical marks (U+0300–U+036F) on top of each character until it overflows the normal line height, creating a distorted, glitched appearance.
Named after an internet horror character, Zalgo text is used for Halloween posts, horror-themed Discord servers, creepypasta content, and any situation requiring an unsettling or "glitched" visual effect. The "Zalgo Lite" variant adds just 1–2 marks per character for a subtler effect.
Morse code is a character encoding system that represents letters and numbers as sequences of dots (·) and dashes (−), separated by spaces. Developed in the 1830s for telegraph communication, it remains one of the most recognizable encoding systems.
Each letter maps to a unique dot-dash pattern: "S" is "...", "O" is "---", making "SOS" = "... --- ...". Words are separated by " / ". This tool converts any text to Morse code instantly — perfect for puzzles, educational content, escape rooms, or creative social media posts.
The PowerInput extension lets you apply Unicode styles (and run custom AI prompts) in any text field, with a keyboard shortcut — no copy-pasting, no tab switching. Works in Gmail, Notion, Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord and more.
